Any complaint over the conduct of editors and/or peer reviewers, due to either the intentional delay of reviewing process, or an undisclosed conflicts of interest, a breach of confidentiality, the misuse of confidential information, or other practical issues, such as unresponsive journal staff, must be put in a written form (online). The editorial board is due to address them and respond as soon as possible.
The contributors/the authors unhappy with a decision taken by the journal, related to the rejection of a manuscript, or other issues, may make an appeal.
The authors submit a formal complaint/appeal to the journal principal contact by email. Within a week, the journal will form an investigation group consisting of three editorial team members (not previously invovled in handling the maniscript in question).
The investigation team will provide fair opportunities to all parties invovled to explain their motives and actions. The purpose of the investigation is to establish whether misconduct took place, whether it was performed deliberately or as a genuine mistake, and to estimate the scale of its negative consequences.
Corrective actions and penalties will be applied. The author(s) will be informed about the investigation outcome. The investigation group will rely on the recommendations and guidelines provided by Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

Orice reclamație privind maniera de a acționa a editorilor sau a evaluatorilor ALIL, fie în sensul întârzierii intenționate a procesului de evaluare, fie în sensul existenței unui conflict de interese nedeclarat, fie în sensul încălcării confidențialității, sau al relei folosiri a informațiilor ori al oricărui alt eveniment nedorit în procesul de publicare, trebuie să fie formulată în scris și transmisă online boardului ALIL, care are obligația să o ia în considerare și să răspundă cât mai curând posibil.
Contributorii/autorii nemulțumiți de o decizie ALIL, privind respingerea manuscrisului sau alte probleme privind publicarea, pot formula un apel.
Autorii transmit reclamația / apelul lor principalei persoane de contact http://alil.academiaromana-is.ro/contact-3 indicată pe site-ul ALIL. În curs de o săptămână, va fi stabilit un grup de investigație, compus din trei membri ai echipei editoriale, care nu au fost anterior implicați în evaluarea contribuției respective.
Grupul de investigație va da posibilitatea de a se apăra tuturor părților implicate. Scopul investigației este de a stabili dacă a avut loc o eroare, dacă a fost deliberată sau neintenționată și de a estima impactul consecințelor ei negative.
Se vor stabili acțiuni de corectare și/sau de sancționare. Grupul de investigare va utiliza recomandările furnizate de Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
